Tobey Pond at 8am on a summer Sunday morning is a beautiful, peaceful place for worship. These services are informal, usually less than 45 minutes long, and wonderfully enhanced by God’s presence in the water, early morning mist, treed shoreline in the distance and quiet singing of the birds. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Shoes are optional. No town pass for Tobey Pond is necessary. Sorry, but no dogs or swimming allowed! Check the calendar before getting up early as there are occasions during the summer months when we may be doing something different, such as Worship on the Green. If it’s raining or otherwise unpleasant, join us at 10am in the church instead, as we hold both services during the summer months.
Please note during July and August 2019 we will have our 8am Sunday Services at Battell Chapel, near our Peace Pole, rather than at Tobey Pond.
