Poetry and Song as Prayer, and the Valley of Dry Bones

Pastor Erick lifts up three leanings from the prophetic tradition for us as we live through this particular moment.

  1. Prophets tend to acknowledge struggle – that the pain and fear of what we may be experiencing is ablsolutely real and needs to be named.

  2.  Prophets tend to call us to an adjustment of our view, to try to look around with new eyes, leaning more and more toward hope.

  3.  The third learning is aligned closely with the second, and is a call to adapt, to encourage us to seek the healing and the grace of God through a change of behavior.
