Wearing Red for PENTECOST

It is traditional, on this birthday of the Church to wear red, as a symbol of the joy and fire of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised “another comforter” and that promise, the Holy Spirit, was poured out on the apostles, and on everyone, on the day of Pentecost. Does wearing a certain color do anything on its own? No, but it is a tangible reminder of an invisible reality, and that can be powerful to our imaginations.
