Meet Amy Pardue
Amy Pardue is our new Administrative Assistant. Here’s a bit of her story…
“Sometimes a place becomes part of your history. That’s what Norfolk and Church of Christ are for me. As a young child my mother, brother and I lived in Norfolk, I was a student at Botelle School and we attended church here as a family. “Coming back” continues to be an awesome experience. I have met so many friendly and welcoming people and look forward to meeting many more of you. Please stop by and say hello!
I currently live in Torrington with my 18 month old daughter (who’s adoption should be final in coming months) and my 6 month old foster son. My adult children, Samantha, PJ, and Reilly live close by with my grandchildren, Silas, Alexa, Liam and Cassin.
I love spending time with my family…we are sort of a traveling comedy team and find humor a great way to get through life’s challenges. A good laugh is worth a million bucks!!!
My passion is advocating for and helping children and I feel that being a foster parent is something I am meant to do. I have worked as a Social Security paralegal for many years and still do on a volunteer basis. I also worked in Deaf education while I lived in Vermont. I am joyed to be working in the church office and truly inspired by the warmth, generosity, and kindness of this uplifting community and so very blessed to be part of it!”
