The Norfolk Food Pantry is now more accessible and open longer hours. It is now located in the back foyer of the church and is available during office hours (9-2 Tuesday – Friday), most of the day on Sunday and at other times when the church is open for activities. Also there are now collection bins for food contributions at the Norfolk Library, the Berkshire Country Store, the National Iron Bank, and Norfolk Town Hall.
The pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items such as pasta (canned and boxed), cereals, tuna fish, peanut butter, jams, jellies, granola bars, applesauce, condiments (mayo, ketchup, mustard, salad dressings), desert mixes and canned goods including soups, fruit and vegetables. When you come, check out “The Clothes Closet” up the stairs and down the hall to the right — offering free gently-used clothing.
Donations are always welcome and can be dropped off at the church Tuesday – Friday from 9 am to 2 pm, or deposited in the collection bins around town as noted above. Monetary donations are welcome as well and can be made by choosing “Giving” on the menu above.
Our “Picture of the Week” for January 28, 2018 shows the children of the Norfolk Early Learning Center with a bin of food they donated to the Food Pantry.
