“Living into Joy” – Wednesdays at 2:30pm in Battell Chapel’s Tiffany Room

We recently had a series of discussions on “The Book of Joy – Lasting Happiness in a Changing World” by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and  Archbishop Desmond Tutu , with Douglas Abrams. At the back of that book are a series of “Joy Practices”, focused prayer and meditation disciplines that can help overcome the obstacles to joy and sustain and support our spiritual, physical and mental well being.

You need not have read the book to join us.

We will explore the following practices to cultivate the “Eight Pillars of Joy”

  3. Humor – Laughing at Ourselves

  4. Acceptance – A Meditation

  5. The Fourfold Path of Forgiveness

  6. Journaling for Gratitude

  7. Compassion Meditation

  8. Generosity Practices
